A Taste of Art

 Six local artists will present “A Taste of Art,” a series of classes developed to expose individuals with an interest in art to six different types of art medium. All of the instructors are experienced, well-recognized and award-winning. 

Participating instructors include;

  • Laura Barnhardt Corle, Studio Artist, teaching watercolor basics
  • Martina Wedge, Art Instructor, teaching collage
  • Valerie Escobedo, Professor at The University of Findlay, teaching charcoal drawing
  • Marianna Hofer, Writer and Photographer, teaching hand tinting black and white photography.
  • Ann Reddy Damon, Studio Artist, teaching polymer clay sculpture
  • Phil Sugden, Professor at Bluffton University, teaching ink drawing

The classes will take place on either Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon or Mondays from 7 to 9 p.m. at Coffee Amici and are open to adults or mature youth who have an interest in the visual arts. The Saturday classes will begin on April 18. The Monday classes will begin on April 20. Cost is $85 and includes basic supplies.
